Turns out: Our lives are the accumulation of all of our experiences. Our value is determined by how we treat other people and ourselves. Unless we’re willing give our friendship with no investment in the outcome we will have no one but ourselves to depend on. Knowing this may assist in disappointments as a result of expectations. I keep trying to show people their issues so they can get past stuff but what I’m really doing is showing myself my own stuff so that I may get past it. My problem is that mostly I don’t notice it’s mine and if I do it’s way later and maybe even after I’ve gone too far trying to explain this stuff to someone.
Some of this sounds like something Sy would say.
